Sign-GrafX Group designs custom logos as part of our sign design service capacity. It is always a good idea to design your logo with signage in mind, rather than starting with a logo for your business card or letterhead, and assuming that it will also work on a sign. The difference in size, perspective, viewing distance and exposure is so great that your logo may be totally unintelligible or even handicap your sign. We hope you come to us for your logo BEFORE you get too heavily invested in a poor design. Your logo needs to reflect and project your best possible image to your potential market. It needs to be easily recognizable in a split second, distinctive and up-scale. Elements that play important parts in your logo include color, archetypal forms and shapes, lettering styles, and spacing. Each of these elements plays subtle and often very obvious roles in defining your image. Attention to detail is at least as important as the "broad stroke" of your design. Our combined decades of experience and range of talents can be extremely valuable in selecting your optimum logo. In many cases, an effective design requires only a simple use of lettering and color, and can be developed easily and cost-effectively. We charge $50 per hour for design services, and this can be built into your sign project. |
